Century Work Camp Custody Status

FDC lists Century Work Camp as a satellite of Century Correctional Institution. The word “camp” does not mean county work release or an unsupervised community placement. A person assigned there remains within the state prison system and is tracked through the Corrections Offender Network.

Location changes can occur without discharge. Return to Century CI, movement to another FDC institution, or placement at Pensacola Community Release Center is a transfer. The population detail can show the current state location. FDC Inmate Release Information is the stronger source when the question is whether incarceration ended.

Transfer

Movement between custodial locations without ending the sentence or FDC custody.

Discharge

The completed end of the relevant custody or supervision term.

Detainer

Another agency's request to hold or receive the person after FDC action.

Century Work Camp Release Destinations

A true release from state prison may return a person to an approved community destination, begin FDC field supervision, or lead to another agency. Probation, community control, conditional release, and parole are separate supervision labels. Read the actual label instead of calling every post-prison arrangement parole.

Florida law addresses transportation for some eligible state releases toward a supervision county, legal residence, original commitment county, or another approved destination. The statute excludes community work-release releasees from that provision. It does not promise a ride from Century Work Camp to a particular Escambia County location.

Confirm Century Work Camp Release

The FDC Inmate Release Information Search includes people who have been released or are scheduled for release and is updated nightly. Search by the six-character DC number when possible. A name can return several people, so compare the photograph, aliases, identity fields, offenses, and state identifier before using a date.

1. Open FDC Inmate Release Information rather than an Escambia county roster.
2. Enter the DC number or full first and last name.
3. Match the person and open the detail record.
4. Read the completed Release Date when available. Treat a future date as projected.
5. Check the population search if no release appears because the person may have moved within FDC.
6. Check supervised-population records after release when continuing state control is possible.

The official FDC release-search form provides the state route.

The release search is statewide. A county jail release timestamp cannot establish the later end of a state-prison term.

Century Work Camp Release Dates

An active FDC detail uses the label Current Release Date. Under Florida Statutes § 944.275, the gain-time projection is the tentative release date, while the maximum sentence expiration date is the endpoint after lawful credit. The actual Release Date proves the completed event. A date can change before release.

Gain-time awards or restoration can move a tentative date earlier. Forfeiture can move it later. Eligible modern offenses may receive incentive gain time subject to statutory exclusions and an 85-percent floor. Offense date, jail credit, mandatory minimums, concurrent or consecutive sentences, new court action, and review can all affect the result.

Never compute a guaranteed day by multiplying a sentence by .85. FDC applies the sentence and credit record. If the detail reads “TO BE SET,” review is pending. The Bureau of Admission and Release lists 850-488-9167 and dc.release@fdc.myflorida.com for release-database questions.

Century Work Camp Directory

The available research verifies Century Work Camp as a Century CI satellite but does not establish a separate current public street address or direct telephone line for the work camp. The verified parent-institution contact should be used to ask for the correct work-camp routing. It should not be mislabeled as a separately verified camp address.

The FDC Century institution directory is the source for the satellite relationship.

The directory also lists Pensacola CRC as another satellite. That organizational link does not make a move between them a release.

Century Work Camp Release Records

The public detail may not show the entire movement history, calculation worksheet, release authorization, or receiving agency. Use FDC Public Records for a specific copy. A useful request names the person, DC number, Century Work Camp, approximate date range, and the exact movement or release document.

Ask the sentencing court for a certified judgment or amended sentence, and use FCOR for a commission parole or conditional-release order.

Classification and Central Records lists 850-488-9859 for corrections to offender data. A narrow request is more useful than asking for every record because it identifies the event at issue and reduces unrelated material.

After Century Work Camp Release

Leaving FDC incarceration and ending all state control are separate events. The Supervised Population Search can show supervision type, start and termination information, and an assigned office. Its full data are refreshed weekly, with termination dates and locations updated nightly. A later supervision record can coexist with the prison release history.

Escambia County is in FDC Circuit 1, but the office displayed on the individual's detail controls. Federal supervised release belongs to the federal court and United States Probation, not FDC. Likewise, Escambia County pretrial release is a local pending-case program and is not state probation.

An FDC date may also end in transfer to another sovereign. Confirm a federal or immigration handoff in the receiving system. A prison release record proves the state event, not unrestricted return to the community.

Century Work Camp Search Limits

FDC warns that public information changes quickly and may not reflect the true current location, status, or release date. A no-result can mean the name is incomplete, an alias is used, the person is still confined, the event is scheduled, or the sentence was never an FDC sentence. Remove narrow filters and try the DC number.

Do not use JAIL View to fill the gap. It tracks Escambia County bookings, not Century Work Camp placements. A county booking closed when the person entered FDC can be years earlier than the state release.
